The name Bagbaguin is derived from the word “Bagbag”, which means, “quarry or dig out”. It was founded on November 27, 1964 by former Barangay Captain Anastacio Dela Cruz, together with his barangay officials sought for ways to educate children in the place. The first school was put up at Ramirez compound, two rooms were used for Primary class and one room for kindergarten.
The school started as an annex school of Caybiga Elementary School. As the enrolment continues to escalate in 1970’s. In 1975, it became an independent school and was named Bagbaguin Elementary School. The school moved into it’s new site with 5,151 sq.m. and was donated by Mr. Dionisio Jose with an acquired worth of Php 41,208.50. It started to flourish numerous achievements; high learners’ achievement, effective classroom instructions and maximizes the use of material resources.
